Outback Brothers Season One 6 x 30’ is a factual entertainment series following three paramedic brothers as they face deadly weather patterns, cultural challenges, medical emergencies and all that the remote Australian outback has to offer.

Ben, Dan and Tom Falzon are the Outback Brothers. Along with their father Joey, they struggle in extreme conditions to convert a 100-acre property in the semi-arid desert of Australia to create a world-class sustainable living centre.

Needing additional finances to make this dream a reality, the brothers all become paramedics in one of the most hostile and dangerous places in Australia. They soon realise that their attempt to help the planet will push them to the edge - it becomes one of their greatest challenges.

Filmed over 10 years and narrated by one of Australia’s highest profile personalities - Shane Jacobson (Kenny, Brothers’ Nest) the factual series is a bold, adventurous extension of their first show Outback Paramedic which has now been seen by over 1 million Australians on the Nine Network.

Episode 1 

We meet the Falzon Brothers and learn their mission to save the planet from the middle of nowhere is going to be a massive challenge. The boys roll into remote Alice Springs and are immediately confronted with extreme conditions and problems start to mount. With dwindling finances the boys start supplementing their income with Paramedic work and are shocked by the danger and violence that has just entered their life. 

Episode 2

As our Outback Brothers settle in to life in the Outback, both Tom and Dan now have to put a roof over their families heads. With little funds they explore ways to build sustainable buildings and come up with some incredible dwellings.

Although Paramedical work can at times be exhausting  and dangerous, its paying the way for their eco tourism business called Earth Sanctuary.With extra funds, the ‘Sanctuary’ starts to show some real promise and the boys think that brewing their own beer also might help them take things to the next level. They seek out advice from the locals on adding some bush tucker ingredients. 

Episode 3

The Earth Sanctuary education tours is also starting to gain traction but finances are still tight and now two of the boys have children to worry about. The boys decide to expand the dinners as well as running wedding events. It will take a huge commitment as the extra income is helpful but at what costs? The boys struggle with time management and fear their losing focus on the biggest issue of ongoing Climate Change. All the while their Paramedical work is not slowing down and adds to the pressure of their personal lives and growing their business. Adding to the drama, Dan calls his mate Rex to come and remove a snake from his kids play pen.

Episode 4

Dan and Alana start the day with balloon flight over Alice. The Sanctuary is firing on all cylinders now but there are some troubling events happening in Alice Springs with the youth. The boys Paramedic friend ‘Spanner’ invites Dan to help out with Bush Mob, an organisation committed to reforming young people. Later at the Sanctuary they host some very talented drummer girls who come over to jam with the boys while Joey cooks them a local treat.

Episode 5

It’s time for Earth Sanctuary to get some major upgrades, the boys plan to get off the gird entirely. Not only that but Tommy wants to build a full blown Space Observatory. The largest privately owned one in the NT. But all this is put on hold when their mate Booga turns up and tells them he’s entered them into the famous Henley on Todd River Regatta.

Episode 6

Older brother Ben’s life as a FIFO ( fly in fly out) comes to head asa travels to his second home in Mossiface Victoria to be with finance Michelle who is now living there permanently. Ben now has to make a decision where home is going to be. When he returns to Alice Springs his outback brothers have a surprise buck’s night planned for him at the camel races near Uluru. They crack open the first bottles of their brew and celebrate before joining in the fun. As time escapes the boys, they make a late dash through the desert to get Ben  back in time for his wedding. Will Michelle be left waiting at the alter?
