Astro Tour
1.5 HR ASTRO TOUR
Welcome to Earth's Sanctuary's award winning astronomy programs. Sharing our celestial knowledge of the incredible and majestic night sky is our pursuit and we know you'll be saying "Wow" before the night is over. We are located in one of the darkest regions on the planet so our celestial objects are naturally brighter and clearer to the naked eye. Arrive a touch early, grab a beverage and get ready to say"Wow"!
Navigate with the Stars
Learn celestial navigation, also known as astronavigation. This is an ancient and modern practice of finding direction using the stars.
Finding the Ecliptic
As viewed from Earth, the ecliptic is a great circle around our sky, formed by the intersection of Earth's orbital plane with the imaginary celestial sphere surrounding us. The sun travels around our sky on the great circle of the ecliptic. The moon and planets also follow this path and our team will help you locate this in the night sky.
Finding the Zodiacs
In Western astrology, and formerly astronomy, the zodiac is divided into twelve signs, each occupying 30° of celestial longitude and roughly corresponding to the constellations: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. At any one time we can see 6 Zodiacs and we will help you find them.
Look through a Telescope
We have a number of Deep Sky telescopes operating at the Earth Sanctuary Observatory and we will get to see a variety of celestial objects.

Experience 12 hours under the night sky with Earth Sanctuary's premium Sunset to Sunrise program. This is the only tour of its kind any where in the world and is an outstanding astronomical experience . This overnight program combines Earth Sanctuary’s Astronomy tour with dinner and breakfast included.

If you are looking for something a little more private or you have already have accommodation in town we also operate private astronomy tours. This tour is more intimate, caters for up to 4 Adults and can also be added to our Dinner & Stars Program or purchase a canapés platter when your booking.
